Paul Moston – Chartered Accountant

Paul Moston was educated at Bishop Stopford’s School in Enfield, and made thePaul Moston Chartered Accountant decision to follow in his dad’s footsteps and set his sights on being a Chartered Accountant.

“I honestly didn’t have a clue what that meant other than what I had gleaned from a few summer holidays analysing cash books and reconciling banks.”

“I wanted to take the fast track to earning money so I opted to take the Foundation route and studied at Plymouth Poly in 1983/4.  After this successful year I signed a training contract with a firm in Enfield Town, which also had offices in Central London and Hertfordshire.”

“I qualified as a Chartered Accountant aged 24 and continued to learn about various businesses as my career progressed.  During that time, I had experience working in construction and other contracting businesses such as electrical contractors and plumbers.  Since then, I have gained experience in coffee roasting, property investment, market research, recruitment and online businesses.”

“Whilst compliance services are a vital part of what an accountant does, my philosophy has always been to be a hands-on accountant; more in a supportive role.  I am often away from my desk, working with clients to assist in the development of their businesses.”

“My goal is to maintain Mostons as an accountancy practice that offers a wide range of business support services, including everything from the commonly understood services through to external consultancy.”

“I am proud to be a Chartered Accountant and grateful for the experience this career choice has given me.  Having established my own business, Mostons, in 2009, I now live as well as work in Winchmore Hill.”

“I am a dedicated family man with three wonderful children, Hannah, Isabelle and Alex.”
